Critter in Clyde Jones' yard in Bynum

Clyde Jones' house in Bynum

Clyde Jones is a "folk" artist who lives in Bynum, NC. Nearly every house in the small town of Bynum has a Clyde sculpture in the yard, and there is even a Bynum "Clydefest" in April. I've seen his pieces on display along the grounds of the NC Museum of Art, and, according to Clyde, he has a critter in every country in the world. Most of the sculptures are made of cedar logs chain-sawed and spiked together with long nails, and finished with plastic flowers for eyes. From what I understand he doesn't sell the work, but likes to give them away to children, friends, and neighbors.
