Storm King Art Center

Storm King Art Center is near Storm King Mountain, in the Hudson Valley of New York around 60 miles north of New York City. It is an outdoor sculpture park that has been open to the public since the 1960s, featuring over a hundred outdoor sculptures on over 500 acres of pastoral prairie and woodlands. There are works by Calder, Goldsworthy, Noguchi, Maya Lin, and many others. Most sculptures are permanent while there are circulating collections also. When I was there they were constructing what looked to be a small visitor center. There is a house on the premises that houses some art, but overall it is really an outdoor experience so visit on a nice day! There was an outside cafe in the shade which was nice on a hot day.
