Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House
On a recent trip to LA I had a chance to walk around Frank Lloyd's Wright's Ennis House in Hollywood. The house was one of only a handful of homes built with "textile block" construction, Wright's patterned concrete block. The house sits high in the Hollywood hills, and occupies a site with a steep grade. Wright set up an office in California for a few years and only executed a few commissions. The house is currently unoccupied and in need of renovations due to damage from a recent earthquake.
